MOUNTAIN GLASS ARTS, INC. HAS SWITCHED TO 100% GREEN POWER

UPDATED 7/14/09

With help from NC GreenPower Mountain Glass Arts, Inc. is now annually

 supporting 24,000 kWh of cleaner, renewable energy. The amount of coal

consumed annually to produce this equivalent amount of energy is 19,440 lbs.

The generation of this amount of renewable energy will annually offset:

49,941 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO₂)
156  pounds of sulfur dioxide (SO₂)
62  pounds of nitrogen oxides (NO_x)

The annual reduction of CO₂ emissions is environmentally equivalent to:
3841 trees planted OR 
60796 miles not driven OR 1479 days not driven

NC GreenPower is a statewide effort to improve the environment by using

"green power,"electricity generated from renewable resources such as solar,

wind, biomass and water. The non-profit NC GreenPower organization is the result

 of collaboration among electric utilities, environmentalists, state regulators and energy generators.

officials and focus national attention on the air quality problems

SAVE OUR SLOPES is calling for a PAUSE TO PLAN: a moratorium on large-scale, ridgetop, and steep slope development to give local people control over the future of their communities.

Our office paper contains 35% recycled content and we recycle all paper, paperboard packaging, cardboard, glass & aluminum here in our building!
