Green Programs

At Mountain Glass Arts we believe in the conservation and preservation of our natural resources. Below are some of the programs we partner with, as well as the systems we use in house to support our beliefs.
 
American Forests - Protecting and Restoring Forests For Life.

In cooperation with American Forests we have a tree planted for every order of over $100. We have planted over 82,248 trees to date as of end of 2022! Find more out here.

Our Catalogs Are Printed on (FSC) Paper

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifies that products within this chain have been manufactured from timber grown, managed and harvested under rigid environmental protocol. 

NC Green Power

As of 1/1/2006, with the help of NC Green Power, Mountain Glass has been offsetting 100% of its electricity with renewable resources such as solar, wind, biomass and water. Starting September of 2011, NC Green Power has doubled the value of the Carbon Offset blocks. Our monthly contribution will offset 15,000 lbs of greenhouse gases, which is the environmental equivalent of planting 1,155 trees per month!!
 
TerraPass
 
By partnering with TerraPass all of our outgoing truck shipments are carbon neutral.
 

In House Conservation 
 

* Our glass case size shipping boxes are made with 33% recycled content!

* Our packing foam, provided by Sealed Air is 25% soy based!

* Our office paper contains 35% recycled content.

* We recycle all paper, paperboard packaging, cardboard, glass & aluminum in our building!
