Details

Anneal large glass figurines in the digital F-120 lamp working kiln. Raise the spring-loaded vertical-drop door to insert a glass figurine with a punty rod. Lower the door. The punty rod extends outside the firing chamber through the smaller 2” x 8” punty rod door. This allows the glass to anneal safely.

You can make figurines up to 5” tall in the F-120. Maintain the annealing temperature indefinitely with the Paragon Touch Express digital controller.

The ease of operation will delight you. Never before has lamp work been so easy in this price range. Imagine the massive, award-winning figurines you will make with this kiln.

Conversion stand included with the F-120

The F-120 comes with a heavy-duty Conversion Stand. The Conversion Stand adds a mandrel holder (also called a point rest) to your F-120. Simply place the kiln on top of the Conversion Stand. Then adjust the mandrel holder vertically and horizontally. The holder slides inside steel tubes. The stainless steel mandrel rest includes 7 slots.

Pinless element grooves

The F-120 elements are mounted in pinless grooves in the 3” thick firebrick roof. The element coils are wider than the groove opening, so the elements stay in place without pins. With the element in the top, you can also fuse and slump glass.

Imagine the glass you could sag, slump, and fuse with this kiln. Make small pendants, earrings, cufflinks, and even bracelets. Enjoy the glittering beauty of dichroics.

Made in America

The kiln is made at the Paragon factory in Mesquite, Texas. Our kilns are not merely assembled—they are hand crafted.

Thermocouple with “special limit” wire

The thermocouple senses temperature inside the kiln. It is the small rod that extends into the firing chamber. The ¼” wide Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouple is made with special-limit wire for superior accuracy. The exposed tip gives the controller a fast response time for even temperatures during holds. The thermocouple is made in America to our exacting standards.

Designed for production

Paragon’s warranty is not affected by frequency of use. Fire your new kiln every day if you want, even in commercial settings. That will have no effect on the warranty period.

paragon f120

This was my first kiln and I can say it is an excellent product. The digital kiln control has many program functions from ramp modes, to delays, and annealing. This is a perfect kiln for any level of artist making pieces under a foot tall.

So Easy to use

Love this kiln. I started with an old retro fitted paragon that was about 10 years old, then got an f240 and now added this to my arsenal. I ran into a problem of needed a kiln for a couple apprentices but not enough power to add another 220a kiln, this worked out perfect. Great started kiln because you will not be restricted in height. If you are doing prodo and are debating wide or tall, this baby you can get a shelf and double your floor space for your pieces. The computer is super easy to run vs some of the other manufactures out there. Love it!

GREAT KILN BUILT LIKE A TRUCK CANT GO WRONG

by -

ALTHOUGH I CANT SAY I PURCHASED A F-120 FROM MGA PERSONALLY; I CAN SAY THESE THINGS ARE BUILT LIKE TANKS. THIS IS THE ONE THING IN MY SHOP THAT ISNT MY BETH BRAVO THAT HASNT GIVEN ME A SINGLE PROBLEM. i HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM WHATSOEVER WITH THIS KILN AND GOT IT USED! IT ACTUALLY HAS THE MOUNTAIN GLASS ARTS LOGO ON IT SO I KNOW IT DID INITIALLY COME FROM THERE. IF YOURE ON THE FENCE BETWEEN THIS AND ANOTHER CHEAPER KILN BUY THIS ONE ITS A WORTHY INVESTMENT

great kiln

This will be my second F120, great kiln, my first one has taken a beating for the last 10 years from me and the previous owner, without any problems, and is still going strong, this second one is just to expand, not to replace my first one!

Perfect Kiln for Users at all Skill Levels

by

I purchased this kiln exactly one year ago, and I could not be more pleased with this product, or the way in which is was shipped. Right away I jumped into the manual, that was comprehensive and easy to understand. After learning how to adjust temperature, set predetermined schedules, and times for each, I was off to the races! In times of doubt, as to what the display message was saying, I was able to refer to the manual for a quick and easy answer. I cannot stress enough how easy to use Paragon has made this Kiln. I have since seen it in a multitude of shops, and have come to realize it is a comprehensive kiln, meant for glassworkers of all skill levels and skill sets. I have used mine since day one, and intend to use it for many years to come!

perfect for smaller studios

by -

this is my first kiln and have been used daily for almost a year at the time of this review. iv only had 1 hairline crack in one of the bricks but thats not abnormal. the inside dimensions are perfect for small production and sculptural work. the bead door and rod rest are perfect. half the time i dont even need to open the main door to retrieve a piece. the controller is super easy to use and the kiln comes shipped in a wooden crate. they dont mess around.

Great product.

I got the same model kiln a few years back for my first kiln and I think I made a good decision its a good size to handle bigger projects when I finally get to that size and skill level, and this newer model is more optimized than mine with the better door and rod rest.

Avoid paragon

Craftsmanship is sub pat. Handle broke after I complained it was going to break. Welded it back on myself since paragons customer service was no help at all. I'd send it back if I could
