Phillips BoroTruView 5.0 lenses are made for the true glass-working artist. These lenses are specially designed to offer excellent color recognition while working with colored glass while still providing UV, IR, and Sodium Flare protection. The gray IR filter is color neutral so you can easily see the different colors of the glass and the heat being applied. These revolutionary polycarbonate filter lenses are much lighter than conventional laminated and glass products. For larger pieces like candlesticks and statues, you will need the BoroTruView 5.0.

Very durable but uncomfortable after long term use

by

I used these frames for 8 years. At first they fit great and were comfortable, but the nose rubber deteriorated fastest and it took some time for the grey rubber on the arms (not replaceable) to fall off. You can buy replacement nose portions from Phillips for around $20. And when the rubber on the nose and arms falls off, the frames can hurt during long sessions. The nose guard helps keep the frames on your face but I recommend also using something to keep them strapped to you. But after 8 years the lenses only had scratches, no cracks.
