Details

Wisteria was a breakthrough color for the boro palette: a dense opaque purple that is only translucent when thin. Textured rods smooth out in the flame. Like all of the opaque Candy colors, Wisteria prefers a soft, enveloping flame. It's not boily, but it can have some air in the rods.

If you put it into an forceful flame when cold, the air rushing to the surface can mimic boil. This is why we suggest working slowly and in a bushy soft neutral flame, to allow the occasional larger air bubbles to escape as you work.

While many people have great success with these colors, the opaque Candy color line is known to have a slightly higher COE; please test in your application. May perform better under clear than over clear; Wisteria is known to crack or "check" when laid thin over clear and tooled or sculpted.

Best Purple!

by -

This has to be one of the best opaque purples that i have worked. Now The same goes like all other pastel colors, dont oxidize. A very smooth bright purple works well in blow ins, coil pots, dot stacks, implosions and like almost every color looks great with slyme.

Good for stacks

This is the purple i like to use in stacks. yes it has air bubbles, and it is a bummer. but this color in between some greens on blacks on a vac stack will rock your customers faces.

Purplicious

Again Paul has given us an amazing color that blows the competition away. Stays opaque even when pulled thin. Work in a soft flame to prevent boiling. This one looks great with elvis ruby over the top of it. One of my favorite color combos is Wisteria, Kiwi, Pink caddy.

Great color and very easy to work with. Can be worked in any reasonable flame.

Wisteria

Nice opaque light purple, retains its wisteria color. Use in a neutral flame. Good for use in blown, solid or stringer applications. This is another color which has a grainy feel, has lots of air bubbles, which I don't like. Good color to encase first. Wisteria looks really nice with Double Mai Tai.

Pulled stringers and used in implosion flowers. Work slow and gentle, turns out nice. Goes well with Slyme.

One of my Favorites

Wisteria is as great color if you have the cash. Works fairly easy; a neutral or oxidizing flame is ideal. Out of all the purples in the glass pallet, this one doesn't have boiling issues.
