This video clearly shows many of the methods that glass artist Milon Townsend has developed to make the creation of large solid flameworked sculptures possible.

These Include; bridges to keep extremities from moving; preheated glass pontils to facilitate the handling of the piece; and use of any burner as a hand torch to melt and move glass on an object from one plane or one shape, to another.
