This is a great tool for any sheet glass project. What I really love about pistol grip glass cutters is that as a teacher I can offer them to students who have difficulty with their grip due to chronic pain, injury, or unique hand shapes. It gives the user the ability to transfer weight from their shoulder instead of their forearm to add the recommended amount of pressure to make a clean score line.
