Best release I've found
by Ruth L -
I've been doing lampworking for about 2 years, a relative newbie, I have tried several bead releases and ended up always trying to beat the bead off the mandrel. I had tried the tricks of soaking the bead overnight, tapping the mandrel on a cement surface etc., but always ended up struggling to get them off. Once I tried foster fire smooth and tuff, I'll never use another. The beads slide off right in your hand. Give them a little wiggle and they're off. I can't say enough about this product ending my frustration, I love it!
Fosters Crack n Peel
by Dichroman
Fosters crack and peel is more like it,definitely not borosilicate grade, had to mix it with super sludge blue and let the mandrels dry for days to work most of the time. I am under the impression there is no easy boro dip out there, had our best luck blending odd brands. Sorry fosters $40 is a lot to gamble.
