Northstar's Kandy Apple Red is a beautiful combination of Northstar's NS088 Pomegranate layered over Northstar's NS129 Steel Wool. If you're looking for a red sparkle, this is it! When working Kandy Apple Red, use a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame. This tubing is pre-struck and annealed in the kiln before sold. Steel wool has been proven to be stable when encased and works well in all flame environments. It is recommended to preheat this tubing for at least 30 minutes before use, especially when thick.

In addition, Pomegranate will not develop any brown hues as with the case of the other two members of the self-striking ruby family. Note: the final shade of red is slightly darker than the initial color of the rod. Once heated and allowed to strike, the final color can be viewed.

Tubing is sold by the ounce with a minimum order of 8 ounces. Tubes are pulled as close to the weight ordered as possible. Because of the nature of hand pulled tubes, the weight ordered and the weight sent/billed may vary by several ounces.

Please be aware that some tubes may taper or have varying wall thicknesses throughout the tube.
