Oregon Gray - Northstar
Oregon Gray fills a void in the borosilicate palette. It is an atmospherically stable opal. Work slowly in a soft, unfocused flame to prevent surface scarring. Once melted in smooth, heat can be soaked in more rapidly.
Second quality glass can have the properties of odd quality glass, but may also have small stones, air bubbles, vary in tone/shade, or the shape can be very out of round. Both odd and second quality glass can provide a great value to the right person.

Versatile, easy-to-work gray!!

An excellent color. Easy to use- efficient for coil-potting, blow-outs... doesn’t have issues with boiling or checking, and is smooth as butter. I would compare it to Auga Azul as far as workability goes. A perfect choice for anyone- from beginners to advanced. Definitely a new favorite!!!!
