Sea Slyme is a variation on the popular Slyme green: it ranges from transparent where thin or heated more, to translucent with a milky strike where it's worked cooler. Instead of an ectoplasmic green, this glass is a beautiful sea foam light blue-green. The COE is a little bit high, like anything in the Slyme family, and like other Slymes, this glass likes a soft flame, especially when starting cold.
We prefer a bushy soft neutral to slightly reducing flame with this color. Generally speaking, if you get scuzz on the surface, turn down the oxygen and go a bit slower. If you are getting any graying, turn down the gas a little.
Second quality glass can have the properties of odd quality glass, but may also have small stones, air bubbles, vary in tone/shade or the shape can be very out of round. Both odd and second quality glass can provide a great value to the right person.
Please note: Some pieces of odds and seconds tubing may be extremely large and too thick for some smaller torches or less experienced glass workers.
Tubing is sold by the ounce with a minimum order of 8 ounces. Tubes are pulled as close to the weight ordered as possible. Because of the nature of hand pulled tubes, the weight ordered and the weight sent/billed may vary by several ounces.
Please be aware that some tubes may taper or have varying wall thicknesses throughout the tube.
