Details

Double Passion provides the artist with an easy to control amber to purple striking color. Since Double Passion is less saturated than its older sibling Triple Passion, it does not strike as dark as fast, providing you with the opportunity to develop intense pink and magenta colors.

Working Tip: Get this color white hot to erase the striking history. A variety of effects are achievable depending on how long you flame/kiln strike.

Product Specifications:
Each rod is approximately 20" in length and 7mm in diameter.

Artist Description by Mike Shelbo:
"This transparent color can strike and shift in color simultaneously because of the perfect mix of ingredients similar to those found in Triple Passion.

Striking a bit slower than its Triple counterpart, you can see more yellows, ambers, oranges and pinks. The amount of silver in the color allows you to have a surface buildup of wispy and cloudy bursts of light blues and cream colors that can be controlled by the amount of propane in your torch flame setting.

When worked very hot, you are left with an intense pink or magenta color. Your Double Passion will transmit light of different colors depending on how much the base color strikes and how much silver you let rest on the surface. This color works well in blown or solid application, with or without encasement."

I LOVE this color!!!

This is an awesome color. You can get some AMAZING colors. Similar to triple passion only lighter shades of pinks, oranges and purples. It is a bright color when layered over white. Items made with double passion have done well for me. They are popular and never last long.

just as baller as triple passion

don't let the name fool you. just because it isn't triple passion does not mean its not as good. ive had really good results flame annealing with HIGH propane after the piece is finished. further more ive had better results with the kiln after oxidizing the color then putting it in the kiln. even at 3 garage sessions it will strike good. bump kiln up to 1100 and watch the colors pop! WORKING TIP: apply this color over white and create that awesome serendipity color that everyone loves! also works with triple passion.

Kind of like A/P

This color is similar is slightly stiffer than NS amber purple making it a little easier to work in some sculptural applications. This is a really "playful" strike after kiln struck. Put over white for the color to really pop out, looks great over a light pink also. Can be encased deep
