Details

Double Mai Tai is a member of the amber/purple family, but with less amber and more pinks and purples. It can gain more color in the kiln, but it strikes well in the flame, with lots of pink -- especially over a base of white. Double Mai Tai is hard to over-strike.

put over an opaue color like jawbone and then rake with clear. You can get the most amazing variety of colors. I use it for hollow work and it does not boil or get muddy. VERY nice color

Good color, a little too dense with silver.

TAG's Double Mai Tai is a great color to work with as long as it's the only color you use, if you layer anything on it, the silver condenses and it becomes harder to get that nice transparent purple strike. This color has an amazing variety as long as you leave it as is after applying it, then you can hit it with the flame and get the desired strike. Good color, just a little too strong.

Awesome DMT!!

Color is gorgeous, especially when overlaid onto a neutral background, such as butterscotch. Vivid magentas, electric blues and purples are easy to flame strike in this color (I don't kiln anneal this color). Glass flows and spreads easily. Retains its richness on blown work, tends to washout in stringers. Member of the amber family, so be sure to burn off the haze with a high oxy atmostphere. Thank goodness for the discovery of GeO2 and AgO2!! I love this color and thanks to Suellen Fowler for turning me on to it!!

great color changer, packed with silver!!

I enjoy coil potting this color under an oxidizing flame and then doing blow ins with it. Leads to some really great colors. sometimes go back in and melt black frit after the blow in.
