The flame characteristics of the Bobcat make it a very efficient, clean burning torch that makes the most difficult colors and effects easy to work and control. The penetrating heat of the flame make borosilicate beads and pendants easy without any change to the torch setup.
The Bobcat runs very well on 5 LPM 5 PSI concentrators with optimal performance on a 10 LPM concentrator. Fuel pressures can be run as low as 1/4 PSI on Natural gas or Propane. The Bobcat makes the most heat out of the available fuel and oxygen for an extremely clean flame with no carbon on the torch when run properly. The Bobcat is not limited to small concentrator use, it does extremely well on 10 LPM concentrators as well as using tanked oxygen. This means that it maximizes the output of smaller oxygen concentrators and is very efficient on tanked oxygen too!
The Bobcat comes standard with B fittings. The stainless steel base has 4 holes for securing the torch to the work table, and can be used as a forming and shaping tool for hot glass pieces. Also included are complete instructions and cleaning wires.

Powerful little torch

Great beginner torch. I've been using it for a little over a year and it's much more powerful than I expected. Don't let the size fool you, it can do some great stuff.

This is an awesome little torch for any beginner. Will work great for making any beadwork, pendants, small scuplture/vessels/pipes. Don't let the size fool you, this little torch can put out some serious heat.. Super user freindly as it only has 2 knobs.
Awesome little torch for Beginning boro

Bought my torch brand new from here and love the bobcat. Great for people on an oxygen concentrator, and you can really push out some nice boro work with this. Don't be fooled by it's small size. Easy to use and solidly built.

This little torch is great for small prep work and bead making. Its the perfect size for smaller applications. It has a super hot flame for its size. You will not be disappointed!
My First Torch

A great torch to start learning with. It takes some time to understand the flame and how the glass likes to move. This torch won't overwhelm you. As you try to make larger objects you learn to utilize the smaller flame size. Note: I feel GGT is better suited for cylinders, if you use an oxygen-concentrator I would recommend a Bethlehem.

I have had my Bobcat for over 10 years now and never had a problem with it. I have made soft glass beads, vessels and more. It puts out great heat and really loves the glass. The only down side to this torch is that the knobs tend to slip some and you will have to re-adjust your flame (usually the propane) for a good 30 minutes or so before it will settle down. I know it can not be just my torch for I have talked to many other owners of this torch and they all have the same problem. It does not bother me though. I still love it and would buy another if I ever needed to.

Perfect beginner torch

First off, after owning this torch for about 3 years, this is the perfect beginner torch. As small as it is, it's surprisingly capable and durable. For a low end torch, holds a better value than others at the same price. Wold definitely recommend this torch to everyone.
Best torch for the price

I started working glass once I found out a local glass shop offered lessons, I used this torch my first class and I used this torch the countless hours of practice after that class when I got enough money and space I built my own studio and bought this torch to start it’s an amazing torch for the price and it proves you don’t need to break the bank to start working glass. If your thinking about getting into glass or have already went to a class and used this torch but wasn’t sure about getting your own I can say it’s worth the money and you won’t be disappointed.
