This is the most red of the Exotic Citrus family; strikes easy with lovely pinks, reds and creamy greens. Not bubbly or boily, works great in deep encasement; strikes deeper in the kiln.

About Momka's Exotic Citrus - Grapefruit:

"Exotic Citrus - Grapefruit is so organic I am able to use it for many fruits and veggies. I currently use it for my grapefruit pieces and my beets. The color works great in all flame types. A high propane flame will bring out the grapefruit color the most." - Gina Gaffner

β€œWorks similar to Cloud in terms of its unique characteristics. It takes heat very well and can be worked with a nice range of tones depending on the level that you strike it through.

Likes to stay within the yellow and lights reds with slight amount of hazing over on the surface bringing fourth some beautiful blues and even greens on the surface. When worked with highly oxidizing flame, the color will melt clear and allow the rest to strike through better, working similarly to how you can get Purple Thunder to clear state and then strike it through its amber and purple. When worked in a reducing flame it will bring out the yellows more and make the red saturation a little more pale.” - K. Korzinski

Favorite color by far

by -

the Citrus Exotic Grapefruit is my favorite color by any company. It is so creamy and fun to work with. I found the best way to work the color is a very oxidizing flame at first and let it go a bit more transparent. I find it strikes well both with the flame and with the kiln. I have brought out some really nice oranges and purples with this color. My favorite technique to use this color for, thus far, is to honeycomb. the depth, detail and different colors are amazing. It works very well encased. I have also done many implosions, both with tube and rod, and it turns out very nicely. Keep up the awesome work, Momka! And bring more of your glass to Canada
