The Phantom torch is a 2 stage torch that uses the powerful Lynx 7 Jet for the center fire with a ring of 15 jets for the outer fire. This completely surface mix torch uses the patented Triple Mix technology to provide unparalleled flame chemistry for all types of glass.

The Phantom is the first of the 2 stage Triple Mix torches in the lineup. It is great for soft or hard glass with the ability to produce many flame types from a soft bushy flame to a hard driving flame. The flame chemistry that is achieved with the Triple Mix technology has a wide range including a fuel rich reduction flame, a neutral flame, an oxygen rich oxidizing flame, and an over-oxidizing flame. These flame types make any type, color or effect of glass easy to work and manipulate.

The Phantom is available in a 2 stud or 4 stud version to optimize any setup. The 2 stud is used when the fuel and oxygen come from a single source, and when there is no desire to use a foot pedal now or in the future. The 4 stud allows for the most flexibility for any setup to be run. The primary use is for a foot pedal to be used to turn the outer fire on and off with the outer fire valves preset to the desired setting. Also the 4 stud can make use of different oxygen sources such as a concentrator on the center fire and tanked oxygen on the outer fire. In this situation the fuel will "Y" together at the torch for simplicity. The 2 stud and 4 stud Phantom both work identically in function, the only change is the way the fuel and oxygen are supplied to the torch. A foot pedal is NOT required for a 4 stud torch, the hoses can "Y" back together to use a single fuel source and a single oxygen source with the option to use a foot pedal in the future.

The Phantom 2 stud and 4 stud come with 1' of 3/16" hose and adaptors with filter screens to adapt to standard 1/4" ID grade "T" hose on each stud. The adaptors have a barb that the 1/4" ID grade "T" hose slides over and is clamped securely. The Phantom comes standard with a purple manifold, red, blue and green valve caps and gold arms. It is mounted on a powder coated base that has holes for securing the base to the work table. Also included are complete instructions and a cleaning kit.

-----------------------
Compressed Air Injection Technology injects compressed air directly into the fuel system of the torch. By precisely controlling the ratio of fuel and compressed air, the temperature of the flame can be controlled while maintaining flame chemistry and flame type. From the cooler, driving flame to the wide, bushy cool flame, any combination is now possible. Thin hollow work is now easier and more controllable than ever before. Colors that are tough to work become easier than ever before and appear sharper and true to form. And if that’s not enough, this step up is foot pedal ready! Now, not only can each stage of the torch be individually controlled, but each stage of compressed air injection can now be controlled with a foot pedal.

Triple Mix Technology combined with Compressed Air Technology adds a new dimension to the flame characteristics that no other torch on the market can achieve. GTT Compressed Air Systems encompass everything GTT is known for: Quality, Safety, Versatility, Outstanding Engineering and Unsurpassed Functionality.

Powerhouse!

by

I have been using the GTT Phantom as my daily driver since 2014. This thing is a workhorse! Despite it's smaller size, I've had no problem making full sized rigs, 3" marbles, and goblets. It gets carried in my toolbox to and from multiple studios every week and while I might be careful with it, its not like it really needs the gentle touch.
The usefulness of the triple mix is something that cannot be understated. I had to send it in a couple months ago for its first servicing since I bought it and while it was gone, I had to use a back up torch. Upon firing up the back up, I immediately missed my triple mix. The penetrative heat is just incomparable. The almost infinite flame types I'm able to call out it is just amazing! Anything from an incredibly sharp, tiny detail flame to a huge, bushy annealing flame, this torch does it all!
I really can't recommend this torch enough!

Great burner, won't need another for years!

Started on an Bethlehem Alpha, and that's a great starter torch but once I realized I was serious about blowing glass I got the Phantom and I love it!! The triple mix technology is a game changer for working faster! I also feel like I can still grow into it for years to come, definitely buy this torch if you wanna upgrade!
