31 Hole Silent Burn Torch Tip - National
Details
31 orifice tip, silent flame - 31 holes @ .025 Inches
NOTE: THESE TIPS CAN OVERHEAT & MELT IF NOT OPERATED PROPERLY
High flow tips are designed to operate with National Torches and require significant flow volumes of both fuel and oxygen to operate properly. The recommended operating pressures for these tips are as follows:
Fuel 10 to 15 psig
Oxygen 20 to 35 psig
Since relatively high pressures are supplied to the torch, it is imperative that the hoses be properly clamped to the hose barbs with reliable ferrules or clamps. If you need assistance, contact your local welding supply dealer or gas supplier to obtain the necessary hardware and equipment to attach the hoses to the torch. A common misconception is that premix tips can be operated at very low flow (small flame) settings, and that if the tip appears to be getting hot, the fuel gas/oxygen flows should be reduced. THIS IS NOT TRUE. If, when set at the desired flame/heat your tip begins to overheat, SWITCH to a smaller tip for that work. A small flame on a larger tip will cause overheating, possible tip melting, and increases the chance of flashbacks. .
