Purple Lilac Rod - Northstar
Starting off as a nice milky pastel purple, Purple Lilac can be worked to a gorgeous transparent pinkish purple. The color is a nice purple/pink when used. Before being used, the color rod looks opaque but after used it can yield many shades ranging from opaque to very nice transparent color. We recommend using this color in any type of flame. For a more opaque color use a slightly reducing flame and for beautiful transparent color use an oxidizing flame. This color can be used in any application without problems as well. We consider this color to be a striking color so the more you anneal it the more opaque it will turn. Please remember that if you thin out the color too much you will not be able to bring it back to a nice opaque color.

I LOVE this color! There are so many different varieties of color you can achieve with this glass! Personally I love using more of an oxidizing flame to get an amazing milky transparent pink color! Truly amazing!

Northstar Purple Lilac is my ultimate favorite color. In the sunlight its color BEAMS out purplish pink. Very visually appealing. Depending on how you work it, you can get effects from transparent to a milky look. Absolutely easy to work with. This color is a MUST HAVE.
