Silver Bullet - Northstar
Silver Bullet is a look alike of NS044 Caramel. It is a rich silvery tan color that can be stretched out thin. It is great for stringer application and blown work. Work in a hot neutral to oxidizing flame for bright tan colors. To bring out the silvery mirror like sheen, bathe the piece in a reducing flame. Try NS007 Ruby or NS013 Amber Purple over NS102 Silver Bullet.
Second quality glass can have the properties of odd quality glass, but may also have small stones, air bubbles, vary in tone/shade, or the shape can be very out of round. Both odd and second quality glass can provide a great value to the right person.

This is a very useful color when you want something a little less intense than caramel. It is a step under butterscotch and a step over tan silver creek in the silver/tan series to be more precise. It is possible to get some nice swirly blue and greenish tones to it when used in thicker applications or encasing. Expect it to be pretty much like a little lighter version of caramel in thinner blown work.
