Silver Creek - Northstar
NS105 Silver Creek is a silver based color which produces the most exciting metallic purples and vermilions as well as silvery greens and blues. It is a very stable color. It behaves similarly in the flame as NS013 Amber Purple and NS026 Double Amber Purple, but because of its greater core range, more care has to be taken to prevent reduction and boiling. NS105 Silver Creek can be stretched and can be blown relatively thin without losing the vibrant colors. Try using with other colors to achieve multi layered color combinations.
Ratings & Reviews
Silver Creek is one of my favorite striking colors, in my opinion comparable to Lokis Lipstick but with deeper, more saturated purples. I use it inside marbles and on surface, with great results from both. My best results come from high oxygen and low propane. I would recommend a cool flame striking process for the purples.
One of my favs.
This striking color is ome of my favs. It has such good range of color and is easy to work with.
Compelling option for achieving purples
This color can produce boring grey-ish white tones which can be pretty but aren't that note worthy. I wouldn't have guessed by the name but if treated right, it can also produce beautiful shades of purple and other bright colors which is really where this color pops. I've had some luck using this color to spruce up simple techniques like wrap'n'rake.
