Customizing Your Mobile Experience

We want to take a minute to help you understand some of the new mobile navigation features of our new website.
We have received some questions from users who would like to find what they are looking for faster and easier. We have simplified our category structure in favor of facets. These are immediately visibile on desktop on the left hand side. However it may not be as obvious as to how to get started on mobile devices.
The First Step is to click the "Sort & Filter" and then the blue "Narrow By" button will reveal all the available facets for the category you are currently browsing.
In the photo example below, we have filtered the Boro Color Rod Category down to only display Northstar branded items that are Green and Transparent.

There are a number of available filters based on the category you are browsing. For example, you can narrow by Color Spectrum or Flame Working Characteristics for Color Rod; you can narrow by Outer Diamter and Wall Size for Clear Tubing and you can narrow by Brand in every category. The flexibility and accuracy afforded by these features is impressive, we hope you'll take the time to personalize your shopping experience with these tools.
