Ossa - Double Helix
Details
Ossa is the first in the speckled color family. Based on the popular “speckled luster” test batches OP-434 and OP-507, Ossa is a rich purple lustering glass with thousands of refractive inclusions dispersed throughout each rod.
When exposed on the surface, Ossa can be left as a purple speckled glass, or it can be reduced to develop a variety of luster effects. Using variations in flame chemistry, Ossa can produce a solid silver metallic layer, or a multicolored iridescence. When reduced and encased, the inclusions in Ossa produce a textured mother-of-pearl effect reminiscent of some dichroic coatings.
