5" Rod Sample Pack - Glass Alchemy

This is hands down the best way to get into working with boro glass, start with a great glassmaker!! The whole palette is here, I personally buy this set once a year so I have every single color they make at GA. Consistency is paramount and this company provides it, the sample pack colors are exactly the same as the full size rod you will order, super high quality. I have seen less color burns and more smooth opaque colors from Glass Alchemy. They even label the rods with the customer in mind, not wasting any glass with tons of labeling like other sample sets and they burn clean to the last little drop of color.

If you're looking to get into working with color, this is a great choice. It give a wide variety of colors to experiment with. You really get a good feel how different colors can work.

im a newbe into glass work im on my 2nd sample pack so far and i love the variety of colors. this pack allows a newbie like me to see experiment and understand how each color works . will probably order one more pack before moving up to bigger orders thanks MG

This kit really is a great value, especially for a beginner. Lots of great colors to keep you busy. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I didn't receive the "Alchemist's Guide" that was supposed to be included in this kit. I still recommend this product to anyone starting to use colored boro, just would have liked the whole package.

If you're just getting started like I am, or just want to get a quick selection of different colored glass, this is definitely the way to go! The variety is fantastic and each rod has the information about the color so you can order more of your favorite color. :-)
