Purple Thunder - Momka's
Details
This is a strong striking purple; very easy to strike. Beautiful pinks, rose, blue, creams and purples. Use an oxidizing flame. Best results are with some flame striking.
“This color likes to be worked in a hot oxidizing flame if you want to get the fill strike, however it gets a nice creamy reductive tone too, creating a range of how you can control its final appearance.
If you work it on a hot oxidizing flame the color will go clear and strike through its range of amber purple tones very easy. When worked in a reducing flame, the color will take more of a creamy tan. This is a very easy color to work with. It is forgiving and lets you play around in any flame setting. I recommend using a lot of oxygen on this one. A perfect candidate for kiln striking…” K. Korzinski
