Indigo Aventurine - Northstar
Indigo Aventurine is a fully opaque deep night blue aventurine color. It is well suited for stringer application and blown work. It is easily worked and can take a lot of heat. To keep the color most vibrant, work in a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame. It looks great over NS054 Star White and be sure to try encasing it with NS070 Ice Blue!
Second quality glass can have the properties of odd quality glass, but may also have small stones, air bubbles, vary in tone/shade, or the shape can be very out of round. Both odd and second quality glass can provide a great value to the right person.

this color provides the perfect amount of sparkle! I especially love layering amber purple or other light striking colors over this color

I really like this color. I got it to try and use as stringer to go around my xmas ornaments. When blown out thin for me it lost all of the sparkle and most of the opaqueness but that could be because i pulled it into stringer, and THEN blew it out once it was wrapped around the clear tubing I use for ornaments. I love this color in the more thicker forms.
This color rocks!

I love this color both in solid work: where it is very dark and rich, and when stretched thin. If you stretch this color enough it becomes slightly transparent but still is full of sparkles the whole way. Very cool looking! It will crack most implosions, and can create bubbles when encased. But those are the only two weak point I've found in this color. All around fantastic. Also, checkout Mystery Aventurine; It's equally as cool.
