The Model 808 is a comfortable and lightweight, yet sturdy unifit nylon frame. Don’t let the sharp-looking streamlined design fool you, this frame is all function. Rubber nose pads and rubberized temple bars provide comfortable grip while the wrap around design ensures that your eyes are protected. You can look good while you work with the Model 808.
The Phillips 202 blocks UV and sodium flare and is used for torch work for bead making and silver soldering. This is the traditional glass lens often referred to as “rose glass” or “didymium.”
Phillips 202 Glass is very efficient in filtering sodium flare in addition to providing ultraviolet protection to 390 mm. The Phillips 202 is becoming a preferable choice of hot glass workers. It is very comfortable for viewing under high ambient light conditions such as when working with hot glass or glowing heat sources for a duration of time. Also, although it has a relatively low luminous transmission of 38%, it is not recommended for sun protection use unless UV filtering coatings are applied.
