Alaskan Thunder - Northstar
Alaskan Thunder is a black blue silver color. When worked in an oxidizing flame, NS111 Alaskan Thunder yields bright metallic blues, greens, and purples. When worked in a neutral flame it yields bright hazy green, white, and cream colors. When worked in a heavily reducing flame NS111 Alaskan Thunder produces a nice ash gray. It is well suited for stringer application, blown work, and sculpture. Try encasing NS111 Alaskan Thunder with clear or NS009 Yellow for great effects.
Second quality glass can have the properties of odd quality glass, but may also have small stones, air bubbles, vary in tone/shade, or the shape can be very out of round. Both odd and second quality glass can provide a great value to the right person.

This color can produce so many colors that it is my first "go to" when wanting something beautiful! Never boils and always works up beautifully!!! The ocean blue you get is gorgeous!!
A must have for marble makers
Fantastic when used in compression marbles. Lay a thin layer over a transparent color even clear and watch the magic happen.
