Blue Moon - Northstar
Details
NS045 Blue Moon is a favorite striking color in the Northstar palette. When worked in an oxidizing flame Blue Moon yields bright metallic blues. When worked in a neutral flame it yields bright hazy greens. When worked in a heavily reducing flame Blue Moon produces a nice ash gray. It is well suited for stringer application, blown work, and sculpture. Be sure to try encasing NS045 Blue Moon with clear or NS009 Yellow for great effects.

This is another one of those colors that you can throw pretty much any flame combo at and it wont boil. I always have some of this color on hand its great for blown and solid work alike. If you are just starting out you should grab a pound or two of these, you wont regret it.

I'm new to lampwork and glass, but Blue Moon is my favorite color I've used so far. I love the quality of the glass and its smooth melt. The colors it creates alone, with fuming, or with clear are just incredible! Great, great color!

Holds its consistency

I use this color pulled down into .5mm stringers before pulling them further down into cane. The color always pulls through beautifully, and is very consistent. If you like making cane this color is a wonderful choice. It’s also a lot of fun to use as a surface color with heat manipulation make a nice icy white to dark blue.
Incredibly easy to work with!

Blue Moon has been one of my absolute favorite colors to work with thus far. Is incredibly forgiving in the flame and when worked properly gives you an amazing silvery finish on tol of its beautiful blue hue.
